I think we figured it out....

So, after losing the programs we'd designed TWICE, we redid them again! Thankfully, we had one printed out and cut up on regular paper, so we had something to go off of anyway. We went to Office Depot and found some shimmery paper that we liked, so I bought 1 pack of it for now, just to see if we even like it. We printed it out today, and lookie! I LOVE it! The pic does not do it justice...it's really shimmery and sharp-looking. I did have to shift the word WEDDING on one of them and RECEPTION down just a hair...hopefully it will be perfect, now.
Now, my original thinking was to place black cardstock on the bottom and staple it all together, then cover the staple with a bow. However, Jim thought we should overlap the cardstock over the top layer. While researching layered programs, I found this.
Now, this isn't exactly what he'd had in mind, but it is similar. I think we're going to try this instead. I was still thinking about doing a bow, but after seeing this, we might just use the leftover pink ribbon we have and do the same. The pic with Jim holding the ribbon obviously doesn't have the black cardstock yet, but you get the idea. We will have to measure it out to see how much cardstock we'd need for each program. This should be fun. :)
