Day of shirt!

I ordered it off Bridaltees.com. Actually, I designed it myself there. They made it for me. I decided I wanted a cute tank top to wear under my beautiful DIY jacket. :)

Flower Girl Jacket

Well, it's not completely DIY like I'd planned on doing. I found a cute pink jacket on clearance at Target. I bought an iron-on from eBay months ago, so I just used that.
Sadly, I decided against using the ironing board for this jacket (even the package said it wouldn't go through and damage wood!). Now our house has a Flower girl tattoo. :(

Marriage License!!!!

Yep...we FINALLY went to the courthouse and got it! One the day that it will be ONE MONTH! Holy cow...

:)

Frustrations...

So...two minor frustrations are starting to irritate me. We have learned that some of the invitations never arrived, and some of our rsvp's did not come back. GREAT! So..we're trying to figure out a head count...and we need it, like yesterday!

Then, I've had many people ask me where we are registered, stating that they can't find it on our website. Jim told me that he checked it out, and they're not coming up. :S Well, I fixed it this morning, so hopefully there won't be any more issues. Sorry everyone!

Miss you, little brother.

It has been 13 years since I lost my brother. 13 years ago, I realized I wanted to be a nurse, not a doctor. 13 years ago, my life did a 180, and I wouldn't be who I am today if it hadn't. Miss you, Chris.

Alyssa's 6th birthday party!

Laughing with her BFF, as usual. :)
Her and her BFF, Sophia. :)
The boy is her little boyfriend, Jack. :) Kenzi in the pink is her cousin.
This one's for you, Grandma. She looks pretty happy to me! :)
I believe this is right when Jack was the first in the entire room to go "aawww." After the room was quiet, he loudly states, "I LIKE that!" hahaha Poor Jim.
Yes, I got her an MP3 player. Yes, it was only $20ish. It was a steal!
 Can't help but love this...haha
Her bike. You can't see it, but it says TROUBLE on the front and down the middle. PERFECT for Alyssa. :)
Boy, was she spoiled rotten!

Iowa Bridal Shower 4.16.11

Sadly, the majority of the pictures are too horrific to post. I need a photographer. :( Anyway..I did post some for your viewing pleasure. The shower was kinda small...a bunch of people were ill, and we had a few family emergencies, but it was a nice turnout. I'm glad I got to see some of my family that I haven't seen in years. It's good to be home...nice and quiet. Love the peacefulness and the beauty of the countryside. I really miss it.

 This is the head table.
Candles all lit up!
One of the cakes..
And the other cake :)
 Some of the chocolates. YUM!

The dessert table. mmmmm
Ellen...Katie's baby girl. She was really eyeballing the chocolates. :)
Here's four generations!
Cheesy smile...
Bummed this pic didn't turn out. The lighting is making my hair look funny. lol Heather is my cousin, but more like a sister or BFF. I pretty much lived at her house. :)
Playing a game...
Just about the only gift-opening pic that wasn't horrible.
We forgot to take a pic of ourselves. We are out of our shower attire (I ripped that dress off the second the last guest left!)
With Katie, Ellen, and Darlene. :)
Trying on his tux. SOOO adorable!
 Tails! I love it!
So..we went purse shopping to relive some stress. Then we decided to switch the purses. Here's what was in our old purses. lol
She had a rubber glove in her purse. ha ha ha
Watching a movie together. SUPER cute. :)

What the hell is wrong with our math?

I don't know what the eff we are doing wrong, but we CANNOT get our rsvp numbers to balance out. :( Hopefully, Jim will be able to figure it out tonight, because I QUIT! Anyway, we DO know that we have received 71% of our rvsps back. Our weekend was booming with pink envelopes and emails regarding rsvps. :D Happy Happy Joy Joy!

Programs in progress...

Well, we are still working on them...I finally got everything printed out and cut, and Jim has been working on measuring out and cutting the ribbon, then putting everything together and stapling them. Since he's not a huge fan of tape (don't ask), I have been putting the ribbon on them to finish them off. Some of them aren't lined up perfectly, so the staple is still somewhat visible, but frankly, I dont give a damn, and if anyone wants to donate their time to make them perfectly or their money to order us premade ones, then have at it. Honestly, I am proud of us and amazed that we've created what all we have from scratch. So pleh! :P Anyway, here is one of the programs, patiently waiting for me to slap on some double-sided tape and the ribbon. :)

Finally making some progress on our love letter/wine box!

Now that it's FINALLY warming up outside, we can start working on our box again! :) This is one of my favorite things about our wedding, so I'm really anxious to get it done! Well, we debated on designs for the front, then Jim decided he really likes the font I used for our monogram and date, so he duplicated that. I traced over it on top of the wood, and here he is going over the light spots without the paper. Next, he sawed what he called a "kidney bean" (I wanted something like that done, as I had seen it on a box online somewhere), then sanding and restaining. I think we will be going wine shopping soon to figure out what to put in the box. After we have that figured out, we can shape the foam and put in the silk liner. :D
